Proforma Supports the Next Generation of Tech Professionals at Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame Week

TAMPA, Fla. (Mar. 17, 2026) – Proforma, the largest family-owned and operated technology and business success leader in the print and promotional products industry, is proud to have once again participated in Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame Week, which took place March 9-11, 2026.

Full Sail University is widely known for its accelerated, project-based degrees in technology, entertainment, media, and arts. Each year, Full Sail hosts its Hall of Fame week, where past alumni who have made an impact in their fields are inducted, and current students have the opportunity to attend educational presentations and participate in mentoring opportunities.

Proforma’s Senior Vice President of Information Security and Operations, Michael La Plante, who is a Full Sail graduate and Hall of Fame inductee, provided one-on-one mentoring sessions, sat on multiple panels, participated in meet and greets with students, and gave two presentations during this year’s Hall of Fame Week.

“We value opportunities to engage with students because they represent the future of our industry,” said La Plante, “The opportunity to help the next generation understand security initiatives and connect foundational skills with real-world technology practices is essential for the ever-evolving tech landscape.”

Through La Plante’s presentations, students gained insight into general security knowledge and also learned how to build their own websites, including finding professional templates, understanding the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and customizing their designs. Each of these components was carefully selected to equip students with practical skills essential to technology professionals.

“Proforma’s continued involvement with Full Sail is an opportunity to empower the next generation of professionals,” said Brian Carothers, Chief Information Officer at Proforma. “By combining lessons in security and website development, students will gain well-rounded insight that prepares them for success in dynamic business environments.”

Proforma is proud to bring its expertise to Hall of Fame Week, leveraging insights from its 80+ member Technology Team. With more than $50 million invested in proprietary technologies, Proforma is well-positioned to provide students with hands-on applications of its innovations.

“My experience at Full Sail gave me a strong foundation, but working at Proforma has shown me how that knowledge translates into the real world,” said Mike Miller, Senior Software Engineer at Proforma and Full Sail alumnus. “From being a student to joining the team full-time, I’ve experienced firsthand how Proforma is committed to leveraging technology for innovation and mentoring the next generation of technology leaders.”
